The Stress of decorating bedrooms every time is fun but stressful and it’s even more stressful if you don’t have any references to look at before you start your design journey.
Today, we’re looking to design our small bedrooms with the best items you’ll need and we’ll embrace every bit of it. Small spaces are hard and tricky to decorate but if you’ve got great references like this post, you’ll love your journey.
I know some of you already have design plans in your head but it’s also nice to look at other ideas as that will give you fresh design inspiration.
bedroom must-haves
In every decoration journey, some things are essential as you move on, things that help you get the best version of your design.
Space setting
When decorating your bedroom, the space is the first thing you consider. Do you need to buy more items to fit the theme? do you need to opt for a minimalist style? these are the kinds of questions that come to your head after looking at the space.
We’re working on a small space so we want everything to be well-arranged and well decorated because we’re looking to minimize and make use of every tiny space.
Light setting
Lighting is always the cherry on the cake. After everything decoration, the lighting is what makes it beautiful and brings out the real beauty of everything.
When it comes to lighting, bedrooms need more artificial than natural lighting. In bedrooms, there are not as many windows as there are in living rooms and other places as bedrooms are private places so artificial lights are perfect.
Hue
Farmhouse style is what we’re preparing for so we want as many farmhouse items as possible to match our theme. In my opinion, I don’t like redecorating my bedroom everytime, I just get some items that represent the theme and that’s all. If you’ve got a healthy budget and you want to redesign your bedroom for this theme then there are many options here.
Wall setting
Decorating walls is very important in this journey as you want the walls to be bright enough for our beautiful items to shine. Wall art is never to be underestimated, bohemian wall decor is very common in this kind of situation.

Bedding
I think we can all agree that a bedroom without a bed is something else. Changing the sheets to a bright orange or brown color would be perfect as those are the perfect colors for the season.
Placing flowers in the colors of the season right above the bed is a way to make your bed look colorful and alive. The pillow cases should also be changed to colors like orange, brown or white, you can also consider using all three colors.
Room light
A nightstand is also a very important item in your room. A wooden nightstand that hosts lamps with fall colors will be a way to make that area look very nice. Placing a pumpkin or plants around that area would also be a great idea as those are perfect for Thanksgiving and Halloween.

Two colored curtains would be perfect with one carrying a season hue and the other one being plain white. Rugs can be any dark color that matches the curtains and you’re on your way to creating a perfect room for this season.
